Ace Cafe London’s annual “70’s Bike Day”, from 9am to 5pm on Sunday 19th July celebrates the decades diverse array of machinery, from iconic British parallel-twins like the Norton Commando, high-performance superbikes like the BMW R90S, and ferocious Japanese two-stroke “widow makers” and screamers like the Yamaha RD350 (“Giant Killer”), the triple-cylinder Kawasaki H2 Mach IV and liquid-cooled Suzuki GT750, along with the decades heroes such as Sheene, Reed, Hailwood, Ago’, and Ogri! – the “cor not arf” motorcycling cartoon super-hero who, created by the late Paul Sample (1947–2026), together with his bike Armageddon, girlfriend Mitzi, Kickstart his dog, and his blundering cousin Malcolm, first appeared in Bike magazine in 1972.

Ace Cafe London, located on the North Circular Road (Stonebridge), is a world-famous, historic hub for motorcyclists and petrolheads. Originally opened in 1938 as a 24-hour roadside cafe, it became the iconic birthplace of the “Cafe Racer” subculture in the 1950s and 60s. Reopened in 1997, it hosts daily themed meets, live music, and special events for bikers and car lovers
