Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Lines Up For The 1000 Dunas Raid

Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Lines Up For The 1000 Dunas RaidJoan Pedrero of Spain will participate in the 1000 DUNAS RAID in the Elite raiders category with the Harley-Davidson® Pan America™ 1250. The event takes place 22-29th October and will start and finish in Granada, Spain.

The 1000 DUNAS RAID route is composed of seven stages: the first stage consists of 120km and there will be six stages of 395km. The raid represents a week of high intensity and a unique riding experience.Harley-davidson Pan America 1250 Lines Up For The 1000 Dunas Raid

Across the Atlas mountains
Departing from Granada, the riders cross the Mediterranean Sea by ferry from Motril to Morocco’s northeastern coastal city Nador. They then cross the kingdom of the Bereberes through the Atlas Mountains, where they are likely to face extreme temperatures and snow, before descending towards the dunes of Erg Chebbi, crossing the most deserted areas of Morocco. In the last stages of the raid, the riders cross the Moroccan territory from Merzouga to Nador, facing the most challenging part of the race.

The Dakar rider will demonstrate the capabilities of the first Harley-Davidson® Adventure Touring model, powered by the muscular Revolution® Max 1250 powertrain, a liquid-cooled 150hp 1252cc V-Twin engineered to deliver ample power-to-high revs at the highest levels. On this occasion, Pedrero will face this new challenge in the Elite class, a category designed for the most professional riders.

For the experienced and more trained riders, this race is the perfect test to improve their navigation pace with a route that is 90% off-road and will allow Pedrero to see how hard he can push the Pan America 1250 to the limit.

The Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 is equipped with technologies designed to enhance the riding experience, including multiple electronically controlled ride modes plus Cornering Rider Safety Enhancements. This broad collection of technologies is designed to match motorcycle performance to available traction during acceleration, deceleration and braking. Pan America is equipped with Adaptive Ride Height (ARH), a revolutionary new suspension system which automatically transitions between a low stopped position and optimal ride height when the motorcycle is in motion.Harley-davidson Pan America 1250 Lines Up For The 1000 Dunas Raid

Style defined by function
Like a good multi-tool, function leads the form of this Harley-Davidson® model. From grab handles to integrated luggage mounts, to a horizontal headlamp configured to better illuminate an off-road trail, function defines the style of Pan America 1250.

Since the 2021 launch, Pan America has won numerous awards globally, including 2021 MCN Innovation of the Year for Adaptive Ride High Suspension, Motorcycle.com 2021 Motorcycle of the Year, and Thailand Bike of The Year Award for best ADV category, which was awarded by Grand Prix International.
