John McGuinness MBE and the Honda Fireblade are synonymous with the Isle of Man TT races. Aside from the first 130mph lap and the complete dominance for almost a decade including an emphatic Senior TT win in 2015, this year John and Honda celebrated 30 years of TT racing with a superbike livery harking back to John’s very first TT race in 1996.
In honour of 30 incredible years of TT racing, Honda UK has produced a limited run of road legal replicas of John’s superbike, as ridden in the 2026 Senior TT. Just fifteen lucky Honda customers will have the chance to own a CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP JM 30th Anniversary.
Alongside the motorcycle, owners will also receive a signed McGuinness replica KYT helmet which will be handed over in an exclusive meet and greet on the Isle of Man. If owners choose to, they can add their first 37 ¾ miles to the bike around the TT course following John. Creating a never to be repeated memory with a road racing hero, on the very roads on which the legend was created.
ABOUT THE BIKE
The 2026 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP was the star of the Superbike show at the 2026 Isle of Man TT races. In his 30th year of racing at the TT, John McGuinness MBE was honoured by Honda Racing UK with a racing livery that nodded all the way back to where it began. The Honda RS250 from 1996 displayed John’s career long sponsor and friend Paul Bird Motorsport. The distinctive green number board used on the 2026 bike is a period correct throwback to what was used in the lightweight class ’96. With split throttle bodies, a 999cc liquid cooled inline four cylinder engine producing 214bhp, a swingarm derived directly from the RC213V-S, HRC developed aero, a six-axis internal measurement unit and an Akrapovic developed Titanium exhaust leaves the owner in no doubt at all of the potential the motorcycle has.
