LS2 Spectrum Intercom Evolves: Super-slim Bluetooth® intercom co-developed with MIDLAND gains voice control and a dedicated mobile app.
Connectivity has become part of everyday riding, whether that means talking to a pillion or a group, following turn-by-turn navigation or listening to your favourite tunes.
LS2 have updated their popular Spectrum intercom to suit, with a new ‘EVO’ version: the next generation of the super-slim unit co-developed with MIDLAND, adding two significant new features while retaining the specification that made the original a benchmark.
The first is Voice Operation, which allows the intercom’s main functions to be managed by spoken command. With no need to reach for a button on the move, it helps keep distractions to a minimum.
The second is a dedicated mobile app. Paired with the Spectrum EVO, it allows the intercom to be configured and its settings tailored to individual preferences, and keeps the unit current with future software releases – so the specification continues to develop after purchase.
Everything else carries over from the original Spectrum, which established itself as one of the most complete intercoms on the market. Real-time connectivity for up to four riders, with a range of 1.2km, keeps group riding seamless.
Bluetooth® 5.1 and universal connectivity mean it will talk to headsets from all major brands; no need to worry about who’s running what system. There’s full compatibility with smartphones, GPS units and TFT displays too.
Audio is again the work of Italian pro-audio specialists RCF: 40mm high-definition speakers deliver ultra-HD sound for calls, music streaming and GPS navigation alike.
AI-powered noise cancellation adapts to cut wind and road noise, drastically reducing background interference.
The extra-slim, flexible design sits flush to the helmet shell and adapts to virtually any helmet, so it won’t get in the way.
Intuitive controls make it easy to operate with gloves on, should the user prefer hands-on control. As you’d expect, the EVO is waterproof, and the rechargeable battery offers up to 20 hours of continuous conversation.
The LS2 Spectrum EVO retails at £159.99 including VAT, and is compatible with most helmets in the LS2 range.
