The new Moto Morini X-Cape 1200 has now arrived in official UK dealerships.
The maxi-adventure touring bike embodies the spirit of freedom and uncompromising adventure. Designed and developed by the Style Centre and R&D department in Italy this is a bike for motorcyclists seeking an intense experience that combines innovation, safety, and tradition.
ENGINE
The heart of the new model is the Moto Morini V2 Corsa Corta EVO engine. This 1,187cc 87° V-twin produces a maximum power output of 129hp (95kW) at 8,750 rpm and 106Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The Euro 5+ compliant powerplant features a 12.4:1 compression ratio and is paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring an Up/Down Quickshifter as standard. A light-action hydraulic slipper clutch ensures smooth gear changes and maintains rear wheel grip during aggressive downshifting.
Three different engine configuration maps allow the X-Cape 1200’s response to be adapted to various riding needs, switching naturally from comfort to sportiness.
CHASSIS
Handling and versatility are central to the X-Cape 1200’s design. The chassis consists of a mixed aluminium and steel frame with a cast aluminium swingarm. It features fully adjustable, premium Kayaba (KYB) suspension with 48mm upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock with progressive linkage, both offering 180mm of travel.
Stopping power is provided by a complete Brembo system, featuring dual 320mm front discs with monoblock radial calipers and a 280mm rear disc. This is managed by a Bosch Cornering ABS system, which can be deactivated for off-road riding. The X-Cape rides on cross-spoked tubeless alloy rims (19” front/17” rear) fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Trail 3 tyres, ensuring a stability and grip whatever the road surface.
RIDER AIDS
The rider interface is headlined by a 7-inch colour TFT dash with integrated navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. Safety technology is class-leading, featuring Bosch 6-axis Cornering ABS (switchable for off-road use), three-level traction control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). A rear-facing radar provides blind spot monitoring and a rear collision avoidance system, which flashes the indicators and brake lights if a following vehicle approaches too quickly.
All-season comfort is provided by heated grips set behind hand guards and – for both the rider and pillion – there are heated seats featuring three heat settings. The equipment list also includes an adjustable windshield, cruise control, a centrestand, and a forward-facing 1080p dash camera to record every journey.
The Moto Morini X-Cape 1200 is priced at £11,299 (+OTR) and is available at dealers now in three colours – Arctic White, Energy Red, and Viper Black. A three-piece aluminium luggage system can also be specified for an additional £499.For more information and to find your nearest dealer, visit motomorini.eu

About Moto Morini
Moto Morini was established in Bologna in 1937 by Alfonso Morini, initially building three-wheelers. After his factory was destroyed during World War II, he pivoted to motorcycles in 1946 and the brand quickly established a reputation for racing excellence, achieving its first Grand Prix victory at Monza in 1949. The 1950s saw the launch of the iconic 175 Settebello and in the 1960s, the brand expanded to the US market and saw further racing glory by securing the 1967 Italian championship.
A major technical milestone occurred in the 1970s with the debut of the 3 ½, a 350cc V-twin featuring electronic ignition and a six-speed gearbox, followed by 500cc variants. After a period of dormancy, the brand was relaunched in 2005 with the powerful Corsaro 1200. In 2011, the company moved to Trivolzio under new Italian ownership before being acquired by the Zhongneng Vehicle Group in 2018. This latest chapter has focused on expanding the product line, resulting in the successful launch of the X-CAPE 650 adventure bike in 2021 and the Seiemmezzo street and scrambler models.
