Moto Morini X-Cape 700: Midsize Adventure Goes For Gold In The UkThe Moto Morini X-Cape 700 is set to deliver more performance and versatility to riders in the mid-size adventure segment while delivering incredible value.

Now arriving in official UK dealers, the new X-Cape 700 “Gold Edition” starts at £6,699.

Designed in Italy and building upon the success of its predecessor (X-Cape 650), the X-Cape 700 blends the brand’s heritage with modern adventure-touring requirements to meet the demands of daily commuters and trans-continental explorers with everything in between.Moto Morini X-Cape 700: Midsize Adventure Goes For Gold In The Uk

The heart of the new model is a significantly updated parallel-twin engine. Increased from 649cc to 693cc it delivers a smooth, linear power delivery and generates a peak power increase of 20% from 59hp to 71 HP (52.5kW) at 8,500 RPM with torque lifted from 56 Nm to 68 Nm at 7,000 RPM. This Euro 5+ compliant powerplant is designed for longevity and versatility, providing enough punch for motorway missions while remaining tractable and easy to manage on technical on and off-road trips. A slipper clutch also helps to keep the X-Cape composed during aggressive downshifting.

Handling remains a core strength of the X-Cape platform. The 700 model features premium 50mm Marzocchi upside-down front forks, which are adjustable for preload, compression, and rebound. The rear is supported by a Kayaba monoshock, also fully adjustable. Stopping power is provided by a complete Brembo system, featuring twin 298mm floating discs at the front with two-piston calipers, supported by a Bosch 9.1 ABS system which can be switched off for off-road use.Moto Morini X-Cape 700: Midsize Adventure Goes For Gold In The Uk

The rider interface is headlined by a 7-inch colour TFT dash. This unit features multiple display modes and integrated “mirroring” navigation via the Moto Morini app. Standard equipment includes back-lit handlebar controls, dual USB charging ports, and a height-adjustable screen that can be operated one-handed while riding. Other features focused on rider comfort and safety come in the form of a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and powerful LED lighting all round with a distinctive DRL to give excellent visibility at night and day.

Riders in the UK will have access to the top-spec “Gold Edition” that features 19in front and 17in rear spoked Akront gold wheels fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, a center stand, remote rear shock preload adjustment, and an integrated front dashcam. Completing the premium package includes traction control, heated grips, and a heated seat.Moto Morini X-Cape 700: Midsize Adventure Goes For Gold In The Uk

Ergonomically, the X-Cape 700 remains accessible to a wide variety of riders. It features a comfortable 820mm seat height (with an optional 845mm high seat available) with a slim profile to help make low-speed manoeuvering easy. The one-piece bars are easily adjusted into three different positions. An aluminium bash plate and robust handguards also feature as standard and a 18-litre fuel tank ensures a generous touring range. Taking the adventure even further are luggage options available as part of the comprehensive accessory range to allow further customisation.

Available in three colours (Red Passion, Carrara White, Ebony Black) priced at £6,699, the Moto Morini X-Cape 700 comes with a comprehensive three-year manufacturer warranty and is distributed in the UK by Moto73.

About Moto Morini
Moto Morini was established in Bologna in 1937 by Alfonso Morini, initially building three-wheelers. After his factory was destroyed during World War II, he pivoted to motorcycles in 1946 and the brand quickly established a reputation for racing excellence, achieving its first Grand Prix victory at Monza in 1949. The 1950s saw the launch of the iconic 175 Settebello and in the 1960s, the brand expanded to the US market and saw further racing glory by securing the 1967 Italian championship.
A major technical milestone occurred in the 1970s with the debut of the 3 ½, a 350cc V-twin featuring electronic ignition and a six-speed gearbox, followed by 500cc variants. After a period of dormancy, the brand was relaunched in 2005 with the powerful Corsaro 1200. In 2011, the company moved to Trivolzio under new Italian ownership before being acquired by the Zhongneng Vehicle Group in 2018. This latest chapter has focused on expanding the product line, resulting in the successful launch of the X-CAPE 650 adventure bike in 2021 and the Seiemmezzo street and scrambler models.
