Moto3: Ogden Takes History-Making Home Pole As Drama Hits For QuilesMoto3: Scott Ogden is on pole position for the British GP, becoming the first home hero to qualify on Moto3 pole at the venue – ever.

It’s a CIP Green Power 1-2 too, with Adrian Cruces taking second ahead of Valentin Perrone (Red Bull KTM Tech3), who completes the front row after being fastest on Friday.

Ogden’s pole lap came right at the end of the session as the Brit locked in and started setting red sectors, a tenth and a half up half way round and then keeping it tucked in to the line to take that history-making pole position.

The drama for Maximo Quiles (CFMoto Valresa Aspar Team) had already hit just before that, with the #28 highsiding out from a flying lap and then taken to the medical centre. Unfortunately, he was confirmed to have broken his collarbone – and he’ll now miss race day. The Championship leader does, however, have a stonking 104-point lead as he begins his recovery.

Behind the Ogden, Cruces and Perrone front row, David Almansa (Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP), Alvaro Carpe (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and Adrian Fernandez (Leopard Racing) complete Row 2. Brian Uriarte (Red Bull KTM Ajo) is next up – the rider trailing Quiles by 104 points – ahead of Kiwi Cormac Buchanan (CODE Motorsports) as he equalled his best qualifying yet. Hakim Danish (AEON Credit – MT Helmets – MSI) locks out Row 3, ahead of Joel Kelso (GRYD Racing).

That sets the stage for Sunday – come back for more at the later time of 14:30 (UTC+1) as Moto3 race round Silverstone!Moto3: Ogden Takes History-Making Home Pole As Drama Hits For Quiles
