Picasso Engineering's Flat Track Bike Wins Special AwardPicasso Engineering’s all-new carbon fibre OMT 450C flat track bike has won the Special Award from the distinguished judging panel at the 2025 Heveningham Concours in England, marking a triumphant debut for the Swiss firm’s latest two-wheeled innovation.

Making its first public appearance at one of the UK’s most prestigious showcases for design and engineering excellence, the Picasso flat track bike stunned audiences and judges alike with its radical approach to chassis design and materials. The bike features a fully carbon fibre frame, developed specifically for the demands of dirt oval racing: a bold departure from traditional aluminium construction.
“This is a huge honour for all of us,” said company founder and CEO Stefano Picasso. “We built this bike with a singular vision: to challenge convention and demonstrate what can be done when you start from zero with no compromises. Flat track racing leaves no room to hide. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s the perfect proving ground for what we believe in.”
The Heveningham Concours award adds momentum to Picasso Engineering’s entry into the FIM Flat Track World Championship, where the team will make its competitive debut later this year. The company is set to race at two iconic venues, Mariánské Lázně in the Czech Republic and Debrecen in Hungary, before launching a full-season campaign in 2026.
Built around a modified Honda CRF 450 engine, the Picasso bike sets itself apart with its ground-up design philosophy. Extensive in-house development at the company’s Swiss headquarters has focused on tuning not just power delivery, but also chassis flex, traction dynamics, and overall rider feedback, key elements for success on the unpredictable surfaces of flat track circuits. These lessons will then be carried into a road-going bike, scheduled to go on sale next year.
The award from Heveningham’s expert panel underscores Picasso Engineering’s growing reputation as one of motorsport’s most forward-thinking constructors and sets the stage for an exciting new chapter as the brand moves into competitive flat track racing.
