Sena Outlander: The First Adventure Helmet With Integrated CommunicationHeat, sweat, gloves, motorways, trails, a group spreading out or a riding partner going missing. In adventure riding, a helmet has to do more than protect. With the Outlander, SENA goes beyond the traditional adventure helmet concept by integrating communication, audio and safety features from the outset.

Sena Outlander: The First Adventure Helmet With Integrated CommunicationAn adventure helmet has to do more than protect.
In adventure riding, communication can help avoid getting lost or being caught off guard. When the group stretches out on a trail, a rider misses a turn, or the leader spots an obstacle, being able to warn the others immediately makes all the difference.

With the Outlander, SENA addresses this reality with Mesh Intercom 3.0, delivering robust, clear communication up to 2 km, and Wave Intercom, which extends communication via the cellular network with unlimited range. All this with up to 20 hours of talk time.

Sena Outlander: The First Adventure Helmet With Integrated CommunicationWhen the heat is on, comfort is no longer a detail.
Comfort is never a luxury. When the hours build up, the pace changes and the temperature rises, a helmet can quickly become a nuisance. SENA has therefore designed the Outlander around an intermediate oval fit and a fast-drying COOLMAX®* liner, engineered to wick away moisture and help keep the rider cool and dry for longer.

A straightforward answer to a reality well known to anyone who rides hard and rides long.

Sena Outlander: The First Adventure Helmet With Integrated CommunicationWith gloves on, ergonomics still need to be obvious.
On the road as on the trail, controls need to be easy to find and use without hesitation. To achieve this, the Outlander features a four-button panel with a central joystick, as well as dedicated buttons for Mesh and Wave Intercom.

Here, SENA focuses on more intuitive operation, even with gloves on, in conditions where using equipment should never distract from what matters most.

“With the Outlander, we did not design an adventure helmet and then add an intercom as an afterthought. We approached the entire product from the outset as one integrated whole, with connectivity, ergonomics, safety and comfort built into a single overall vision. That is also what makes this helmet unique: it is designed and manufactured by Sena, with full control from the very first sketch through to the final product.” — Vlada Bokza, Motorcycle Marketing Manager Europe, SENA

Between road and trail, a helmet needs to adapt fast

One of the classic challenges of adventure riding is the need to switch quickly from one use to another. Sena addresses this with a peak that can be removed without tools, thanks to hand-operated screws, and a visor that can be detached quickly, even with the peak still in place.

The Outlander is also Pinlock-compatible and can be used with off-road goggles once the visor has been removed. Here again, the helmet adapts to the terrain, rather than imposing its own limits on the rider.

Safety remains the foundation
While the Outlander expands the role of the helmet by integrating connectivity and onboard functions, SENA does not forget the essentials: a helmet must first and foremost protect. The Outlander is built around a composite fibreglass shell, multi-density EPS and ECE 22.06 certification.

It also integrates front lights and a rear light with an accelerometer, capable of switching from position light to emergency brake light to enhance rider visibility.

Sena Outlander: The First Adventure Helmet With Integrated CommunicationA different way to approach the adventure helmet
With the Outlander, SENA is not entering the adventure segment with just another helmet. The brand brings its own DNA to the category: a helmet designed to ride, communicate, adapt and take on a full day on the road or trail, making every outing simpler, safer and smoother.

The SENA Outlander is available from the brand’s usual dealers at a price of €549. Full information can be found at sena.com.
