Worldspb: Back To Back Superpole Successes For SalvadorWorldSPB: Championship leader David Salvador (Team ProDina Kawasaki XCI) topped the times in both practice and the Superpole sessions.

The Kawasaki rider set a time over half a second faster than his nearest challenger to claim back to back pole positions in the Sportbike class.

For the second consecutive Superpole session Matteo Vannucci (Revo-M2) was the nearest challenger. It will be the third time that the Aprilia rider has qualified on the front row of the grid. Bruno Ieraci (CM Triumph Factory Racing) made it three manufacturers on the front row.

Jeffrey Buis (Track & Trades Wixx Racing) qualified fifth fastest but spent much of the 25 minute session lower down the order. The closing minutes of the session saw the Dutchman set his fastest time in a group with Carter Thompson (Team BrCorse) and the Australian enjoyed his best Superpole performance of the year to end the session sixth fastest.

P1 – David Salvador (Team ProDina Kawasaki XCI)
“Today was perfect. I did a good here in Aragon, as it’s a new track for me in this category. I focused on adapting to that and in the end I felt really good with the bike and I was happy with the lap time. It was also very hot this afternoon and the track temperature was really high. Overall I felt great and this my second pole position so I’m really happy. I hope tomorrow I can take my first victory. This is a circuit that I really enjoy because I loved riding here when I was younger. It’s a special opportunity to race in front of my family and friends.”
