Worldssp: Manzi Claims The Title In StyleWorldSSP: From fifth on the grid Stefano Manzi (Pata Yamaha Ten Kate Racing) waited until one third distance to move into the podium places.

On the 16th lap of 18 he took the lead from Valentin Debise and immediately opened a lead over his rival. Manzi could enjoy the final laps to win by 2.5s for his tenth win of the campaign.

Having been victorious in Race 1 Debise (Renzi Corse) retired in the closing stages with a technical issue. That problem elevated Philipp Oettl (Feel Racing WorldSSP Team) into second position ahead of Jeremy Alcoba. Starting from 25th on the grid Alcoba came through to claim his first WorldSSP podium.

The championship challenge of Can Oncu (Yamaha BLU CRU Evan Bros Team) was halted by problems during the race. The Turkish rider ended in ninth position behind Corentin Perolari (Honda Racing World Supersport) who was the leading Supersport Challenge rider.

“It feels amazing. It’s difficult to find the words to describe this moment because when you start riding as a kid you dream about winning a World Championship. Finally, I can say I’m a World Champion. To wear the gold suit and win the title with a race win is incredible. It feels like a dream I don’t want to wake up from.”
