SW-Motech’s Legend Gear range has long been a favourite among riders who want luggage that combines classical styling with modern-day functionality. First launched over a decade ago, the collection has evolved into a versatile offering, suitable for a wide variety of motorcycles. The new LR3 Tail Bag continues that tradition, delivering practical storage without compromising the clean lines and aesthetic of the bike.
The LR3 offers handy carrying capacity without the need for bulky racking or unsightly mounting hardware. Instead it uses simple loop straps, allowing riders to secure it quickly to a passenger seat or rear rack and remove it just as easily – it can be moved from bike to bike in seconds.
It’s made from hard-wearing Eco-Tech, a specially developed fabric designed to retain the natural canvas appearance that defines the Legend Gear look, while significantly improving resistance to UV exposure, wear and the elements.
A PU coating on the inside adds water resistance, while a waterproof inner bag with click closure provides extra protection when the weather turns. Finishing touches such as leatherette-covered zippers, laminated cam buckles and a subtle reflective bull logo underline the premium feel.
With a base capacity of six litres, the LR3 is ideal for day rides, commuting or quick trips where just a little extra space is needed. If plans change or the journey grows, a zip-out expansion panel doubles capacity to 12 litres.
Overlapping lids feature internal compartments on both sides, while outer pockets with covered zips keep frequently used items close to hand. The main storage section has a light-coloured lining to make it easier to locate contents.
The bag’s structured construction helps it hold its shape, aided by a non-slip underside that keeps the load stable even on spirited rides. A paint protection film is included, helping prevent scuffs where the bag meets bodywork.
The SW-Motech Legend Gear LR3 Tail Bag retails at £129.99 including VAT, and comes with four loop straps with metal eyelets, a waterproof inner bag, paint protection film and mounting instructions. An adjustable shoulder strap is available separately for convenient carrying off the bike.
