A leading Triumph motorcycle dealership is giving riders across the West Midlands the chance to become World Record holders. Staffordshire Triumph is seeking to smash the record for âLargest Parade of Triumph Motorcyclesâ on Sunday 04 September 2016, and is calling for participants to sign-up.
Raising funds for Jessica Simpkin HELP, a charity that campaigns for childrenâs brain tumour research, Staffordshire Triumph will attempt to beat its own record, which was set last year. Gathering together 362 motorcycles, the event took the title as the biggest ever parade of Triumph bikes.
John Adkins, co-organiser of the 2016 attempt, commented: âThis is a fantastic event to raise money for a really worthy cause and weâre delighted to have the support of Staffordshire Triumph. After an unsuccessful Australian attempt in January of this year, weâre hoping to gather even more Triumph riders together and make history.â
Bob Sheldon, owner of Staffordshire Triumph, added: âFollowing last yearâs fantastic achievement, weâre looking forward to hosting this yearâs event. As the incumbent record holders, weâd love to smash our own record, as well as raise money and awareness for a very important cause. Given the generosity and spirit Triumph riders are known for, weâre confident that this can be done!â
The World Record attempt will begin at 11:00am, with all riders wishing to take part having to be pre-registered and then booked in on the day by 10:45am. The two mile course, which will take approximately 20 minutes to complete, will take riders on a parade through the streets of Mansfield.
