Worldwcr: Wildcard Ramos Snatches The Race 2 Win, Herrera Crowned ChampionWorldWCR: WorldWCR: Wildcard Ramos snatches the race 2 win, Herrera crowned champion

Race 2 Highlights:
Maria Herrera (Klint Forward Racing Team) made sure to get the job done today at Jerez, crossing the line sixth in Race 2 to secure the 2025 WorldWCR championship crown! A very worthy title winner, Maria has amassed an impressive six race wins and four podiums over 12 races.

While Maria celebrates the title win, it was wildcard Paola Ramos (YVS Sabadell) who dominated this final race of the 2025 season. Building an incredible 9.5 second lead from pole position, Paola ran a masterful race to secure victory in her debut WorldWCR weekend.

The title fight continued all the way to the Race 2 finish line, with Herrera and championship rival Beatriz Neila (Ampito Crescent Yamaha) going all out for glory but facing stiffer competition than usual, battling for the podium with a large group of 8 riders.

Placing a sterling second in this final race, an inspiring Neila rounds out the season as championship runner-up, just 5 points from Maria. Beatriz is the only rider to have reached the podium in every race, her fantastic results including four wins.

French rider Lucie Boudesseul (GMT94-YAMAHA) rounded out today’s podium, battling hard to cross the line a fraction of a second from Neila and finish the season on a high, with her second top three finish of the season.

From tenth on the grid, Pakita Ruiz (PR46+1 Racing Team) showed real fighting spirit, in the mix for the podium until the very last lap. Her strong fourth-place finish in Race 2 represents her best result of the season.

Chloe Jones (GR Motosport) rounded out today’s top five. Having made incredible progress through the season, the Brit has pocketed a total of six podiums and completes the season in third position in the classification.

Seventh in today’s season finale, Klint Forward Racing’s Roberta Ponziani secures fourth place in the championship. A solid season for the Italian brought a podium and a standout race win at home track Cremona.

Not yet fully fit following recent injury, home rider Sara Sanchez (Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team) made a strong recovery, climbing from thirteenth to P8. Sara places fifth in the general standings, having celebrated three podiums during the year.Worldwcr: Wildcard Ramos Snatches The Race 2 Win, Herrera Crowned Champion

“It’s an amazing feeling to have won! I hoped to be faster in today’s race, but the group was just too big. I almost crashed a couple of times, so in the end I decided to manage my position and get the job done. I want to say a big thank you to the team as they really deserve this title after all their hard work both this season and last. We’ve had some tough times, but luck was on my side today and I’m proud to finish the year this way. Beatriz was very strong all year and made me work very hard; I think it was a much tougher fight this year with respect to 2024 actually. So, I’m very happy, and my plan now is to continue on next year.”

P1 | Paola Ramos | YVS Sabadell
“I’m super happy with the result; such a good weekend for us! I won Race 1 but was then demoted to fourth, while today I was able to actually celebrate the win. This is a very important weekend for me, a dream come true. Me and my family have worked so hard, and I want to thank them, my team and everyone for making this happen. I’ve learned a lot from the other riders and have really enjoyed the experience. Now we’ll see if I can be here next year, competing full time in the championship, which is the goal.”

P2 | Beatriz Neila | Ampito Crescent Yamaha
“What a season, and what a race today! I did my best, even a little more than my best today, but in the end, I placed P2 in both the race and the championship. I lost the championship, yes, but it’s a win for me… the experience, the emotions, this moment. I know I completed a very strong season and a very good final race and I’m really happy with my performance and what we have achieved. I’ve learned so much and am very proud of myself. My performance in 2024 gave me the motivation to do more this season, and I’ve definitely done that, growing as a person and as a rider. I plan to continue this amazing adventure next season, so I’ll be back to try again in 2026!”

P3 | Lucie Boudesseul | GMT94-YAMAHA
“What a race, what a fight! I just wanted to enjoy it and fight as hard as I could, and I’m so happy to be here, on the podium once more. It was a really intense race, and I’m very pleased and proud of the result. I’m also very happy with our performance over the season, which has included two podiums, which motivates me ahead of the 2026 season, when I hope to be back here fighting.”
