Another "standard" Day For Pecco Bagnaia

As the curtain closes on the 2025 season, Pecco Bagnaia says he isn’t optimistic for a positive weekend Valencia.

“A standard day in 2025,” said Ducati factory rider after 14th place in MotoGP qualifying on Friday in Valencia and missing out on direct entry into Qualifying 2.

Speaking to media after Friday’s track action, Bagnaia said that it was ” A standard day in 2025, I stumbled right from the start. Although I tried everything to make it into the top 10, I failed. It was very similar to the previous weekends. I knew in advance that it would be difficult. On this route, you need a bike that can be decelerated well and turned in easily. Unfortunately, my bike doesn’t do that this year. The problems are worse for us here, but we have managed quite well and we have made some progress. I hope that we can do more on Saturday.”

“I have clear ideas, but I don’t know exactly what to ask the team about that will help me,” admitted the 28-year-old. “It’s hard to tell from the data – and we’ve been doing that since the first race.”

With the 2026 season starting on Monday with the Valencia Tests, Pecco is clear that it will be more of the same – there is nothing new to try at the test.
