Motogp And Silverstone Extend Partnership Through 2028MotoGP and Silverstone have extended their partnership through 2028, with the British Grand Prix set to remain on the FIM MotoGP World Championship calendar for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.

The announcement comes ahead of this weekend’s 2026 British Grand Prix, reaffirming the long-term commitment of both MotoGP and Silverstone to one of the championship’s most iconic events and ensuring the UK remains a key market for the sport.

Since MotoGP returned to Silverstone in 2010, the circuit has staged some of the championship’s most memorable races and welcomed more than 2 million fans, with the British Grand Prix known as one of the UK’s premier sporting events and a showcase for the world’s fastest motorcycle riders.

The renewed agreement reflects the shared ambition of MotoGP and Silverstone to continue elevating the event, enhancing the fan experience and growing the sport’s audience across the UK and beyond.

The extension also comes at a time of continued momentum for MotoGP, with the championship attracting growing global audiences on and off the track while continuing to reach new fans around the world.

Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of MotoGP Group, said: “The UK has a rich motorcycle racing heritage and remains one of the most important markets for MotoGP. Since returning to Silverstone in 2010, we have built a strong partnership and together delivered some unforgettable British Grand Prix weekends.

“Silverstone provides a fantastic stage for MotoGP, eleven different winners in the last eleven Grands Prix hosted at the circuit is a testament to the quality, competitiveness and unpredictability of racing at the circuit.

“This extension gives us the opportunity to keep investing in the event, strengthen our presence in the UK and create even more value for our fans, teams, partners and promoters over the coming years.”

Stuart Pringle, CEO, Silverstone, said: “This extension underscores our commitment to two-wheel racing. It’s not just about signing a contract; it’s about reaffirming our vision. Silverstone has proven its capability to host the pinnacle of global motorsport—from MotoGP to Formula 1 and the FIA World Endurance Championship.

“This renewed partnership secures our place as the UK’s undisputed home of elite international racing. Extending our relationship is confirmation of our shared commitment to delivering the ultimate high-speed experience for fans here in Britain.”
