Ruroc: The officially licensed helmet brings Stephen King’s Pennywise to life with a chilling, shape-shifting design
Ruroc, a global leader in motorsports protection, today announces the launch of the new EOX IT helmet – a chilling new design inspired by Stephen King’s legendary bestseller IT and its infamous villain, Pennywise the Dancing Clown.
The new EOX IT helmet arrives just in time for Halloween, complete with a terrifying graphic that changes from Pennywise’s sly grin to a full-on toothy grimace. Bold and unmistakably menacing, this helmet is designed for riders who enjoy a good scare and is guaranteed to turn heads.
Developed with input from over 150,000 riders, the EOX helmet delivers cutting-edge safety and performance with a multi-density impact liner and Quad-Matrix carbon composite shell that meets ECE 22.06 and DOT standards. Aerodynamically engineered for all-day comfort, it also seamlessly integrates the Shockwave™ mesh communication system, powered by Cardo, enabling effortless group rides with up to 15 riders.
“We brought Pennywise from the Maine sewers to the open road,” said Daniele Caruso, Head of Design at Ruroc.“This design is made to turn heads and send chills, but like every Ruroc helmet, it keeps protection and performance front and center.”
Since September 5th, Ruroc has been dropping hints about a new design, with Pennywise’s classic red balloon floating around their website and social media. The officially licensed IT Chapter 2 helmet, developed in collaboration with Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., will be available for purchase starting on September 25th at a price of £499, €639, or $599. Much like Pennywise himself, this design won’t be around for long, so grab one while you can.
