Just One Week To Go Until London’s Biggest Motorcycling Event

Just One Week To Go Until London’s Biggest Motorcycling EventThere are just seven days until the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show returns to the ExCeL Centre in London’s Docklands (14-16 February). 18 of the world’s leading motorcycle manufacturers will be in attendance to showcase the latest new models on the market, whilst action-packed live races, rare classic and custom motorcycles (including the UK debut of the Aston Martin AB001) and a special tribute to Barry Sheene ensures a fun-filled day for the entire family.
The annual Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show is heading back to the capital next week (14-16 February) to celebrate everything two wheeled. The star attraction for visitors will be seeing the very latest machines from 18 of the world’s leading manufacturers, including AJS, BMW, CCM, CF Moto, Ducati, ECOOTER, Honda, Husqvarna, Indian, Kawasaki, KTM, Mutt Motorcycles, MV Agusta, Royal Enfield, Suzuki, Triumph, Yamaha and Zero. Alongside that, the limited edition AMB 001, a motorcycle born from the collaboration between Aston Martin and Brough Superior, will be making its UK debut.
As they walk through the main doors, guests to the show will be greeted by another UK exclusive with a special celebration to Britain’s most famous motorcycle racer, Barry Sheene. The collection includes nine genuine race bikes from his incredible career and former team mate Steve Parish and chief technician Martyn Ogborne will be giving unique insight live on stage every day.
There is plenty more to keep race fans entertained, with a completely revamped Michelin Thunderdrome live action racing spectacle taking over the centre of the show. The free races will see the world’s fastest road racer, Peter Hickman, going head-to-head with fellow Isle of Man TT competitors John McGuiness, Michael Rutter, James Hillier, Dominic Herbertson, Jamie Coward, Craig Neve and Phil Crowe. Guests can upgrade their visit by purchasing a VIP paddock pass, which alongside giving entry to the whole show also allows them access to the racing stars and an unbeatable view of the action. Alongside that racing legends Carl Fogarty, Dougie Lampkin and Bruce Anstey will be visiting the show to meet fans.
Keeping in with the Isle of Man TT theme, the Classic TT will be officially launched at the show with a collection of race winning machines on display alongside a host of stars on display for fans to see. 23 time Isle of Man TT winner John McGuinness will once again be opening his own pub at the event, where he will be manning the bar and sharing tales with visitors throughout the weekend.
Following recent news that a staggering 41% of all British riders are wearing helmets that are over five years old and now well beyond the manufacturer’s service life, MCN has launched a UK Helmet Amnesty. Everyone who brings their old helmet to the Carole Nash London Motorcycle Show will receive a free gift and the opportunity to purchase a new helmet at a bargain price. Visitors wanting to take part should sign up beforehand at helmetamnesty.com.
Other attractions at the show include a collection of rare and exotic machines in the Bonhams Classic Zone, including machines from Morbidelli Collection and the National Motorcycle Museum. Motorcyclists looking for ideas for their next trip should visit the Adventure Zone, where a host of intrepid explorers will be sharing their adventures live on stage.
Tickets for the three-day extravaganza are on sale now at a special early bird price of £18 per person when purchased online in advance – discounts end 12.02.20. Children 15 and under go for free and the show offers free parking for those visitors arriving by bike. More show information can be found at www.mcnmotorcycleshow.com.
